Bangladesh Earthquake Society (BES) jointly with the Department of Civil Engineering of BUET is going to organize the 3rd International Earthquake Symposium, Bangladesh (IESB-3) in Dhaka on March 5-6, 2010. IESB-3 is appropriate forum to discuss the various aspects of earthquake risk and measures for mitigating the disaster and will provide a unique platform, offering a wide international perspective and a wide variety of networking opportunities for researchers and professionals through dissemination of information and knowledge and exchange of experiences and ideas which may eventually compliment the on-going national and international endeavors.
